June 20, 2013. Walking Day 14
Today I awoke fearing my shins would be worse, but PTL, I felt no pain!
We had a very nice 29km walk to another dead town called Boadilla del Camino. As we walked into town we didn't have much hope for our lodging, but in the end El Camino turned out to be a literal oasis! It had lush green grass, a small pool, a big patio cafe and quaint rustic accommodations. Just what we needed!
Today I had two surprise divine opportunities. One was with one of my new Austrailian companions. He is an environmentalist and steeped into yoga and New Age stuff. But he has been divorced twice and is presently living with another. We entered into a discussion of relationships and I had the opportunity to share about my God centered relationship with my trophy wife. I tried using terminology that he would be familiar with, never condemning him, but rather showing him an alternative. I believe a seed was planted. I have a few more weeks with him. Hopefully other opportunities will arise.
Then during dinner I had the chance to share with two sisters from Pamplona. They were literally floored when I shared what I do here in Spain and asked lots of questions. Again, I hope things will percolate in their hearts and they will open themselves up to Jesus!
