June 13, 2013. Walking Day 7
Today I walked to the city of Logroño. It was a fairly hard day, walking 27km with lots of ups and downs.
On the walk I had the privilege of talking with a young retired couple from Virginia. We had seen each other over the past 6 days but had never had the opportunity to visit until last night.
The night before the wife had a few bad blisters and had run out of bandaids. Being a former Tenderfoot, I had lots of bandaids, so offered her some. This led to introductions.
After hearing my story and what I do hear in Spain I was surprised by her response! She said; "I know exactly what you mean!" It turns out she and her husband are Catholics and a few years back they started attending a Bible study!
So, today we enjoyed several hours sharing stories about life, family and faith as we journeyed the Camino together.
In the end it was a mutually encouraging day!
